My Month Of Strengthening! Ps125:1

Listen, when we hear the story of Sapphira and Ananias in the book of Acts, we sometimes find that the death sentence was too strong,
that they could have been punished in other ways,
that they were not even obliged to keep their promises,
that it is less serious than certain lies,
that they weren’t the first to do it…
We always find reasons to justify our sins,
we allow ourselves to be easily controlled by the virus of the world that imposes this on us to look good,
to protect our interests,
to rule over others…
Whatever the reason for diluting the truth, we are at fault.
It’s so common in our daily lives that we can no longer tell a story without adding anything,
without slanting it in our favour until we convince many people that it’s true.
Not telling the truth is a lack of integrity.
The need to tell the truth no matter how others look at it.
Telling the truth reveals our true identity and helps us decide what to do with it.
In 2 Kings 8: *The king said to Hazael, “Take a present with you and go to meet the man of God, and ask the Lord by him, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this illness?
*And Hazael went to meet Elisha, and took with him a present, all the best that was in Damascus, the burden of forty camels.
*And when he was come, he came to him, and said, Your son Ben Hadad, king of Syria, hath sent me to you, saying, Shall I be healed of this disease?
*Elisha said to him, “Go and tell him, ‘You shall be well. But the Lord has told me that he will die.
*The man of God fixed his eyes on Hazael for a long time, and wept.
*Hazael said, “Why is my lord weeping? And Elisha said, Because I know the evil that you will do to the children* of Israel; you will set fire to their fortified towns, kill their young men with the sword, crush their little children, and split the wombs of their pregnant women. And Elisha said, Because I know the evil that you will do to the children* *of Israel.
*And Hazael said, What is your servant, this dog, that he should do such great things? And Elisha said, The LORD has told me that you are to be king of Syria.
*Hazael left Elisha and returned to his master, who said to him, “What did Elisha say to you? He said, “He said to me, ‘You shall recover.
*The next day Hazael took a covering and dipped it in water, and spread it over the king`s face; and the king died. And Hazael reigned in his place.
Hazael knew that Elisha was a great prophet and his words were not unfulfilled.
The prophet revealed to him the king’s healing and told him of his destiny.
Elisha had a deep relationship with the Lord, he trusted God, he knew the covenant he was working with.
His connection with the Lord means that he has greater spiritual strength than many.
So Elisha chose to tell the truth and Hazael, like all of us, told the king only part of the news and precipitated his reign by killing the king.
He who counsels joy and peace has confidence, but he who meditates evil is overwhelmed by evil.
To be attached to Jesus is to be attached to the truth, to walk and live in the truth.
*Proverbs 12:19 – A truthful lip is firm forever, but a false tongue lasts only a moment.
Fast and pray to be truthful at all times
Our tongues carry the blessing, we must be careful not to find ourselves saying things that do not glorify God.
Let our lips keep away from the perversity and seduction of the world.
It is those who wait on the Lord and allow the spirit of God to settle in their hearts who have the victory.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
