Beloved, love is a great proof of solidarity.
Prayer and intercession break down the closed, barricaded door that no man can open.
This is why we must support each other, pray for each other and love each other.
The Lord insists on love, because together we can move the world of darkness.
So let us be workers who stand in the gap to bring spiritual help to those in distress.
The church came together to pray and triumphed.
In Acts 12 Peter was kept in prison, and the church kept praying to God for him.
On the night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains; and there were watchmen at the door, guarding the prison.
And behold, an angel of the Lord came, and a light shone in the prison. The angel woke Peter, struck him on the side, and said, “Get up quickly! The chains fell from his hands.
The angel said to him, “Put on your belt and your sandals. And he did so. The angel said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you, and follow me.
Peter went out and followed him, not knowing that what was being done by the angel was real, and imagining that he was seeing a vision.
When they had passed the first guard and then the second, they came to the iron gate leading into the city, which opened in front of them; they went out and entered a street. Immediately the angel left Peter.
Peter came to himself and said, “Now I see for certain that the Lord has sent his angel, and that he has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were waiting for.
After thinking it over, he went to the house of Mary, mother of John, nicknamed Mark, where many people were gathered and praying.
What do we do when one of us is in difficulty?
This text invites us to take time out to pray for the Lord’s grace.
Let us not be like the world that judges and criticises without contributing anything.
Pray that true love will be experienced in your congregation.
John, 13:35 – By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
How do we show our love for others?
Are we true disciples who copy the Lord?
Do we really represent the gospel?
The Lord tells us that it is through love and our way of showing love that we will know if we are really ambassadors for Christ, if our hearts are still connected to God’s will.
The Lord tells us that it is through love and our way of showing love that we will know if we are really ambassadors for Christ, if our hearts are still connected to God’s will.
And one of the places where we must find true love is in our assemblies.
God wants us all to be in his house so that our concern for others remains within us.
Father, fill us with everything we need to be authentic disciples.
Good day to you all
