My Month Of Stability! Ps62:2

*Lord, if you want, you can make me clean.
Here is a leper’s request to Jesus.
He didn’t just want to be cured, he wanted to be purified, that is to say, to be restored in his being, in his soul, in his spirit.
Leprosy was a curse and the sick man had to stay away from everyone; he was not to have access either to the temple or to divine service.
He was far from God and far from men, leading a sad life.
So when the leper decided to go to Jesus, he decided to obey and enter the city, even though he was forbidden to do so.
The Bible tells us that when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and prostrated himself.
This is an expression of faith.
Above all, he recognised that Jesus was all-powerful; he was sure that he had the power to heal him and that everything depended on his will.
It was this faith that gave him the courage to break the rules and go to meet Jesus on his knees.
This passage shows us that we don’t need long speeches when we go to meet Jesus; few words are enough as long as they are accompanied by assurance and trust in the Lord’s goodness.
Jesus doesn’t look at the prohibitions of the Law of Moses, he doesn’t look at mortal illness, he touches it because he is love.
How many times has a poor person come our way and we’ve been afraid to touch them?
We may be generous,
we may be moved by compassion, but it is easier for us to throw a quick coin and avoid touching the hand of a sick person.
We want to tell ourselves this morning that we lack faith in the Lord’s will to bless.
Faith is a matter of trust,
it is a deep movement of our soul, but genuine.
Let us go to Jesus with humility because the testimony of our faith responds to the authority of Christ in our lives.
Our exhortation this morning is about having a firm faith,
a faith that does not fall,
a faith that does not cast anxious glances,
a faith that calls for restoration in the spiritual,
a faith that washes away all infirmities.
Fast and pray for firm faith.
1 Corinthians, 16:13 – Watch, stand firm in the faith, be men, be strong.
Let us be on our guard, let us be prudent and watchful, let us not allow our trust in God to be destroyed or stolen.
We are Sons,
children of the light who have discernment, so let us take courage and cling to the Lord.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
