My Month Of Gratitude! 1Thes5:18

After the people of Israel left Egypt, in the desert, they began to complain of hunger.
This is what the Lord said: he will rain bread for them,
the people will go out to gather their daily ration.
This supernatural provision was to be the people’s main food throughout their stay in the desert.
Israel called this bread manna.
Manna is a sign of how God provides for his people in the desert.
It was the food that kept the people from starving.
Manna cannot be capitalised on, it cannot be accumulated,
everyone just gets their share,
everyone ate according to their needs.
Israel could not stockpile or trade with this blessing, otherwise it would rot.
The manna is free, it invites us to receive the day’s bread every day, it teaches us that we must just receive what we need.
The Bible tells us that the crowd had been with Jesus for three days and had eaten nothing.
Jesus, in all his love and compassion, could not send the crowd away fasting, lest they lose their strength on the way.
The disciples, seeing only the limitations of the desert, also witnessed the miracle and the multiplication of the bread.
The Lord is not impressed by the quantity of loaves and fishes, because he knows that in everything we must give thanks in order to open the door to blessing.
So he keeps the crowd and trusts his father.
Matthew, 15:36 – took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples, who distributed them to the crowd.
Bless the Lord for the daily bread given to you.
The verse tells us that before we do anything, we must say thank you to the Lord.
It is gratitude that calls for a miracle.
It is thanksgiving that triggers multiplication.
So let’s say thank you to God because every day we have food on our tables,
Let us give thanks because Jehovah Jireh is faithful and he gives us testimonies every day.
Good morning to you all
Good day to you all
