My Month Of Humility! Matt18:4

Young Samuel served the Lord before Eli. The word of the Lord was rare in those days; visions were not frequent.
At the same time, Eli, who was beginning to have cloudy eyes and could no longer see, was lying in his place,
The lamp of God was not yet put out, and Samuel was lying in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was.
Then the Lord called Samuel. He said, “Here I am.
He ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me. But he said, I didnt call; go back and lie down. So he went and lay down. The LORD called Samuel again. And Samuel arose, and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you called me. But Eli said, "I didnt call you, my son; go back and lie down.
Samuel didn`t yet know The LORD, nor had the word of The LORD yet been revealed to him.
The LORD called Samuel again the third time. Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am, because you called me. Eli understood that it was The LORD who called the child,
And he said to Samuel, Go, lie down; and if anyone calls you, say, Speak, The LORD; for your servant is listening. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
Then the Lord came and stood, and called as at the other times, Samuel, Samuel. And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.
Eli is an elder in the faith,
he is Samuel’s spiritual father, who has been entrusted to him since childhood to educate him, teach him and build him up spiritually.
Eli had a deep relationship with Samuel and trusted him.
Samuel had never heard the voice of God and he didn’t know the difference but because he was under the covering of an elder, he was equipped.
Samuel was humble,
he didn’t know everything,
he let himself be led by an elder.
He put his pride aside to listen and learn.
Eli is an elder who is a shepherd,
he leads the flock,
he gives them food, which is teaching,
he shepherds the flock, watches over them and cares for them.
Eli is devoted,
he does not seek to dominate,
He knows that his flock is inexperienced and easily influenced.
So Eli sets an example and establishes a relationship of listening and trust between Samuel and himself.
1 Peter, 5:5 – In the same way, you who are young, be subject to the elders. And all of you, in your dealings with one another, clothe yourselves with humility; for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Pray to manage your relationships with humility.
This is advice for young people who are naive and think they know everything.
They must submit to the authority of their leaders.
And in doing so, they must accept to be equipped without being pretentious.
God does not work with those who think they know everything,
He waters those who hear his voice and follow him.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
