My Month Of Perseverance! Matt24:13

Achan is a character who has been mentioned in the Bible but we don’t know much about him.
His story is found in the book of Joshua and in a status as a soldier in the army.
The conquest of Canaan did not happen all at once and what interests us this morning is the conquest of Ai which did not happen as expected.
The Israelites did not respect the instruction given by the Lord, and Achan disobeyed and he took things accepted, the attack on Ai was a disaster.
The Israelites who are a strong force fled and many were killed.
Joshua needs answers, he is desolate and turns to God who reveals the problem.
To discover the truth, it was necessary to present themselves by tribe and by family in order to discover the culprit.
Achan was counted among the accused and they were stoned to death.
God chooses to punish Achan and his family based on his promise.
When there is something hidden, something we do from behind, when there is a prohibition, God no longer speaks to us, he no longer directs us, he no longer advises us, he no longer drives us more.
Sin, insubordination… made us vulnerable, weak, helpless.
Achan, you know the principles, you know the requirements of the Lord, you know that everything had to be provided by forbidden because this city was corrupt and why did you keep something that God had forbidden to keep?
We attract the wrath of God when we disobey.
Why did you choose evil?
Why do what saddens the Holy Spirit?
The Bible says that the wages of sin, of evil, is death and that is what happens to those who refuse to submit to the Lord.
1 Samuel, 12:25 – But if you do evil, you will perish, you and your king.
Pray not to be associated with evil.
If we don’t want to be destroyed, let’s not do what displeases God, let’s flee from sin.
The Lord hates evil so he destroys everything that bears the mark of sin.
Let’s stay in the presence of God,
Let us cling to the Lord and above all listen to the voice of the Eternal.
It is he alone who preserves us from evil.
Hello
Have a good day
