In 2 Samuel 24, David said that he will not offer anything to the Lord until it costs him nothing.
It means that for David, God was his idol, he was his breath, he was aware that it was God who had the last word about his life, it was his way of recognizing that what he has It was only from Jehovah that He could not venture to do things lightly, He wanted to do a sacrificial action according to the immensity of His God.
He knew how to honor God with what he had, his heart was whole, committed to the Lord.
Like David, can we make the same statements?
We spend most of our time calculating, seeing that we give a lot, to say that we do not have or we repay our debts first.
We are always seeing our problems more than God does in our lives, we put God in the background when it comes to giving him what is his.
We have plan to give it on money yet no, there is no condition.
The truth is that we like to receive more than we give.
GOD has given us everything but not only do we not value what he gives us, we do nothing for him in return.
And that’s what interests us today.
Give bountifully to God out of your possessions.
1 Chronicles 29: 8 And they that possessed stones delivered them for the treasure of the house of Jehovah into the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
We can only give what we have.
What the way of giving isn’t count, it is the elan of is the heart.
In the Bible, a widow gave to all that she possessed as food to Elijah and she received with abundance.
In the temple where Jesus was sitting, people gave a lot and with pride but the widow who gave his few coins touched the Lord heart after his gift, and he blessed her.
It is necessary to give than to receive, God looks with attention what we give and how we do it.
While reading the instruction of the day, some people will murmur or complain but we can not always wait for God without sacrificing anything.
Even in the world, when we help or do us service correctly, we feel compelled to reward the efforts of others and we have no problem but when it comes to God, our hearts are saddened.
The Bible says that gold and silver belong to God.
What can we give him that he does not already have?
So let’s understand that what we give him is just recognition, the way we tell him thank for his benefits in our lifes.
Good morning people of God.
Nice Sunday
