My Month Of Ornamentation! Ez16:13

The Bible tells us that God made a covenant with Moses and Israel after they left Egypt.
Moses must therefore go to the mountain to receive the tablets of the law, the instructions for worship to celebrate the covenant.
While Moses is in retreat to listen to God, the people grow impatient, fear and revolt.
The absence of the leader discourages and worries them.
Israel needs to physically see a sign that it is safe.
This is how he begins to pressure Aaron to give him gods he can see and touch.
Everyone took off their jewelry, everyone offered their adornments for Aaron to make a golden wish statue.
The jewels that Israel wears are gifts from the Egyptians who are not circumcised, who are not children of God.
Israel uses its ornaments to make a god for itself because this is what it had known in the past by imitating the god the Egyptians worshiped.
The people have drawn the wrath of God for their infidelity.
This morning, the word of God advises us to watch, many things have been transformed in our lives like idols.
We are distracted, lying in a nest controlled by darkness.
Phones have taken up a lot of space in our lives, depriving us of them is taking away a part of us, of our identity, of our existence.
Are we different from the Israelites who made god for themselves?
We also want gods who make us feel secure, we want a god we see and touch.
We seek God in illusions, in the material, in the virtual.
Our God is real, he speaks, he consoles us, he loves us.
He let us know that we are prized in his eyes and that his kindness is not on their terms.
Ezekiel, 7:20 – They were proud of their beautiful adornment, and made them the images of their abominations, of their idols. Therefore I will make it an object of horror to them;
Do not turn your ornament unto the Lord.
Lord help us to preserve the beauty of our blessings,
Give us to leave appearances to really attach ourselves to you.
Hello to us
Have a good day
