In the mountain of the Lord, it will be possible!
His name is Jehovah Jireh, the Provider God.
Here is our message of the day!
Abraham must make an offering to the Lord, he wants to offer his son as a sacrifice to his God, he wants to rejoice the heart of his father, he wants to give his all to the King of kings.
It is true that this commitment does not come from him but from God.
Abraham does not have to wonder, he trusts in God.
All he knows is that God is faithful.
When he agrees to obey, when he agrees to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, he does not go anywhere, he goes to the tower, he goes to the mountain, he goes to meet his Father, he wants to enter into intimacy with his father, he goes there to listen to the instructions.
The Bible tells us that for the Lord to hear us, for our blessing to be effective, for Yaweh to trigger our blessing and put a song of joy on our lips, we must be in the mountains.
This is what triggers the provision.
It is a mistake to want to control everything, to want to control everything, let God guide us.
Hagar, after being driven from Sarah’s house, got lost in the desert.
She had no more water and foresaw the death of the child.
Being desperate, she wept to the Lord who made his entrance.
The Lord opened the eyes of the maid Hagar, that she could see the well of water and refresh the child.
It is the Lord who made the manna fall from the sky, it is always he who made the water come out of the rock.
Trust in the Lord.
He gives us in his time.
Let us learn to be grateful for the falling rain, for the shining sun, for the wind that calms us, for the flowing water.
Elie goes to the torrent of Kerith where he will be fed by the crows yet he is an unclean animal.
Elijah obeys, he has confidence in God, he goes there without hesitation, without dispute.
Even though it doesn’t make sense, even though it’s not understandable, he knew the Lord would provide and he raised up an unexpected provider.
2 Corinthians, 9:10 – He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for his food, will provide you and multiply the seed for you, and he will increase the fruits of your righteousness.
Be thankful to God for his unceasing divine provision.
Paul speaks of both earthly and spiritual riches.
The seed and the bread speak of material goods because what is harvested is of the same nature as the seed.
The fruit of our justice is the treasure, the good foundation for the future, giving is also an act of justice.
It is God who gives the seed to the sower, he provides, he increases, he multiplies.
Always keep in mind that everything comes from the Father.
Psalm 23 reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd, we will not want.
Our Lord is watching so that the provision will remain.
