My Month Of Blessings! 2Co9:8

Luke 8 tells us a little story that will surely edify us, a story that will allow more than one to position themselves to access the blessing.
Jesus is doing the work of his father, the work of him who sent him.
He was in the middle of teaching when his mother and his brothers came to find him, but unfortunately, access to Jesus was difficult because of the crowds.
OK.
The Bible tells us that his family stayed outside and sent for Jesus.
Why??
Because it’s family, they are close, they know each other.
They think they have all the rights and they should be privileged.
They tell themselves that they can move Jesus as they please, yet he is in full service.
And this is how we all do?
We want to bring Jesus back to us, we want him to do as we want, we want him to come and resolve our questions.
Let’s hear what the word of God says, let’s hear what Jesus said.
* Luke 8:21 – But he answered: My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it. *
We cannot be out, out of the boat, in the crowd and wait on God.
We cannot claim to be children of God and not obey his commandments.
How many times have we done what we want and we refuse God’s rebuke?
How many times we have turned away from our Father’s will, we have been rebellious and we do not want him to react.
That’s what it’s all about this morning.
* The correction, the rebuke *
What we need to understand first of all is that when God speaks of rebuke, he speaks to us of education.
God’s correction is the expression of his love for us, he wants to see us change, transform, sanctify.
It is training, for us to depend on him, to come back to him with a spirit of repentance.
God’s correction brings us closer to him and us fortified.
The chastisement of the Lord is to protect us from the wrong path.
As a child of God, God is our parent and it is he who takes care of our education.
His word is beneficial to us, it is for our good.
We’re not saying the rebuke is nice, it can be painful, and none of us want it.
It is not easy to accept to be corrected, nor to recognize that we need it.
God wants us to be sons.
Job, 5:17 – Blessed is the man whom God chastises! Do not despise the correction of the Almighty.
Consider the correction of the Lord as a blessing.
Let us feel honored when God chastises us, it means that the Lord knows us, he watches over us, he knows our weaknesses, he loves us, he wants us to be better.
Let us not close our hearts to instruction, let us aspire to divine discipline.
And let’s be restored.
Thank you Lord for your overflowing love.
Your kingdom come.
