My Month Of Assurance! Ps55:23

Penina means jewel, Anne means grace.
Anne and Penina are co-wives, Elkana’s wives.
Penina had the children and Anne had none.
Imagine two women in a house, one makes no effort but she is blessed.
The other prays, fasts, makes sacrifices, walks in the word of God but does not see his heart’s desire fulfilled.
At one point, Anne couldn’t stand her co-wife’s teasing anymore, she was angry with everyone, even her husband, for not being able to be a mother, she wanted to be like the others, she envied the others.
Anne was supposed to be the one who is blessed, the one whose grace and favor accompany but it turns out that it is she who cries, it is she who suffers.
Why ?
During the years, she walked around with worried eyes, she had put her priorities on her husband’s seed, she just wanted a child to be like the others, so that society would respect and honor her.
And the day that Anne entered her breakthrough season, she realized that no one could help her, no one could satisfy her, she shifted her gaze to the highest authority in her life.
Anne went and threw herself at his feet, she opened her heart and she connected herself to the throne of God, she made a wish and the Lord opened her womb.
Anne confided in the Lord and us?
Who do we trust?
The advice we have this morning from God is simple.
We only have one thing to do, bless the name of the Lord for the privilege that we have of having a father.
Psalms, 56:4 – When I am in fear, In you I trust.
Bless the Lord for the privilege of having him as a confidant.
When we are in pain, when we can’t take it anymore, when the test is hard, let’s run to the feet of Jesus to recharge our batteries.
He is our high retreat,
He is our refuge,
What will we do without the help of the Lord?
