Beloved, an envious man is not grateful for what he has, he does not know how to rejoice in what he has.
The envious man is dissatisfied, he is selfish.
He brings everything back to himself, he is always making comparisons, he wants everything that others have, he does not rejoice in the glory of others, he wants to be in their place.
To be envious is to resent those who possess what you hope to possess or who have succeeded where you hope to succeed.
To be envious is to be a slave to vain things, it is to limit one’s happiness to useless things since this vice makes us complain.
Envy is the works of the flesh.
The Bible presents us with examples of people who were gripped by cravings and whose consequences were sad.
Cain who flew into a rage because God accepted Abel’s offering and rejected his.
Because of this jealousy, Cain killed his brother Abel on whom God had manifested his blessing.
We also have the example of Aaron and Mary, brothers of Moses who murmured against their brother.
The truth is that they were envious.
Here are their words: *Is it only through Moses that the Lord speaks? Isn’t it also through us that he speaks? And the Lord heard it.*
Aaron and Mary were wondering why by them too?
They can hear God too, they can be used too.
They were jealous that the Lord had chosen Moses as a spokesman yet they were so qualified.
It sometimes makes us indignant, but let’s know that desires can arise from within our families and destroy us.
We also have Saul, who was the first king of Israel, but later disobeyed God and sought his own interests.
Saul was a brave and efficient warrior, but his reputation will take a hit when David defeats Goliath.
And Saul’s Jealousy will seek to kill David who will be forced to flee his anger.
Let us not be manipulated by the spirit of envy and jealousy.
Rejoice in the superior qualities of other than ourselves, do not let envy dwell in our hearts and allow the Lord to help us fill our hearts with love for others.
Do not be envious of others!
Proverbs, 28:22 – An envious man hastens to get rich, and he does not know that scarcity will come upon him.
A person who seeks to enrich himself by all means risks ending up in misery because of his attitude.
Envy is dangerous.
It leads us to block our own access to what we are looking for.
Let’s be wise, just because the Lord speaks of the opportunities to be seized in this season does not mean that we will not be covered with discernment.
hello to us
Have a good day
