My Month Of Perspicacity ! 2Tim2:7

We always have as Christians our apprehensions, our prejudices.
We are inclined to stop at a look, an appearance, a behavior, an origin to conclude on the others.
As long as the other is not like us, we are very quickly in discomfort and we have sometimes missed out on our destiny helpers.
We like the eye-catching and in our churches we welcome according to our feelings, we stare at some, sometimes we throw stern looks because the person has worn the old-fashioned clothes.
We do not value others because of their adornment.
This is why in the present century, everyone emphasizes their appearance, beauty, seduction, decoration so as not to go unnoticed.
The way we do our hair, our jewels, our clothes have no price before our Lord.
We beautify the eyes of others, we receive compliments, we feel beautiful but the Lord makes us understand that all this is in vain if our hearts are not pure.
Suddenly, being a Christian does not agree with the current world because we want to shine, our social position must speak for us.
Jesus reproaches us this morning, let us not be like those hypocrites who walk in long robes, wishing greetings in the public places, seeking the first seats in the synagogues, the first places in the meals and calling themselves servants of the kingdom.
We are looking for honours, we want to appear to be what we are not and we find in our society young people who compromise themselves for the sake of convenience.
It is at all levels that we must constantly work on our discernment before the Lord.
The prophet Samuel was a victim of this.
He let himself be distracted by the stature, the eloquence or even the influence of David’s brothers when it came to anointing the next king of Israel.
Samuel was in total confusion until God reframed him.
Samuel was influenced by appearance but God looks at the heart.
John, 7:24 – Do not judge by appearance, but judge by righteousness.
Avoid judging by appearances.
Our external condition causes many people to change their opinion of us.
Appearance draws us into favoritism and we limit ourselves to just sight.
Let’s not stop at an image, an action to make judgments, let’s learn to go beyond, to go beyond the physical aspect to connect to the heart, to the true soul of our neighbour.
So let’s get connected,
Let’s be wise,
Let us have discernment,
And may the glory be to Jesus
