My Month Of Sharing ! He13:16

A hungry stomach has no ear, no matter what we may say.
We cannot speak the word of God to a person without first giving him what he needs.
The Bible tells us that Bartimaeus, a beggar and a blind man.
Lost in the darkness of sin, he didn’t know God or what he meant to God, he was a slave to the devil with chains all over him, his destiny is misguided and he had no purpose.
Bartimaeus is everything that is unclean, polluted, useless.
Bartimaeus is everything we are without Christ.
Even with all the gold in the world, we are bums without Jesus, we are locked in the addictions of alcohol, sex and we are blinded by vain things.
The Bible reminds us that in his problem, Bartimaeus knew who Jesus was like the rest of us, but he had never met or accepted him.
He had surely heard that Jesus came to bring abundant life to the wretched, but he did not understand how his life was crumbs and desolation.
What interests us this morning is that when Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus for his infirmity.
Jesus doesn’t start preaching the gospel to him, Jesus doesn’t get into judgements, he doesn’t look at his crowd, Jesus sees a man who needs him, who needs a testimony and who is hoping for a change.
The Lord just asks him a question, he wants to know what the man wants.
And with a word, Jesus releases his deliverance, breaks the limitations and restores him.
Can we imagine?
A person stuck in blindness for a long time and in a few seconds, without medication, without surgery, he is healed.
Jesus knows that he no longer needs to tell Bartimaeus that he must repent, he knows that Bartimaeus with what he has seen will put his life back together.
Beloved, we cannot go to evangelism, we cannot decide to share the word of God when we do not carry the blessing, when we cannot support the other.
It is very difficult to talk about the love of Jesus to a person who is homeless, it is difficult to convince a woman who cannot feed her children to leave prostitution without giving her support.
This is why we must be careful to be more generous and warm when we want to talk about eternal life.
Let us be more responsive, more welcoming.
2 Corinthians, 9:13 – For this help they experience, they glorify God for your obedience in professing the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your gifts to them and to all;
Accompagny your evangelization with donations.
The Corinthians acknowledge the efforts of God’s men who are constantly encouraging them with the word and helping them solve their daily problems.
Yes, going to evangelization must be accompanied by liberality and donations so that our neighbour feels considered and loved.
This is also what evangelisation is all about.
