My Month Of Testimonies! Ps75:9

Beloved, sometimes we feel discouraged or lost because we have the impression that God is not with us, we don’t feel his presence, we have the impression that everything is going wrong and that all our efforts are in vain.
We feel as if we’re treading water, and the disappointments keep growing.
We need to stop and realise that we need to return to the Lord, we need to draw closer to him.
We need to spend more time in his presence, reading his word, meditating on it and listening to it, praying and praising.
We must aspire to be in his presence.
If we don’t spend time with him, how are we going to get to know him and be pleasing to him?
Getting closer to God is no different from friendship – the more time we spend with our friend, the more we get to know him.
Our society prevents us from spending time with our Lord.
No more time for prayer and meditation because of work, friends, family, social networks…
We have become dependent on distractions and God is losing his place in our daily lives.
It’s up to us to pull ourselves together and cry out to the Lord to give us a strong desire to be with him without ceasing.
Father, this morning we recognise that we have neglected our moments of communion with you,
We want to confess today that we have failed to answer the call.
We make a commitment today to rectify that mistake and to learn to spend time with you.
Sustain us, Lord as we make this vow, give us not to go into procrastination, distraction, laziness.
Allow us to have discipline in our spiritual life and while we are in your presence, may our hearts be joyful and filled with sincerity.
We want to make you our priority, Lord.
We refuse to miss our appointments with you.
You are our refuge and our strength.
Show us what we are going to do to meet you and please you.
Teach us your ways, teach us how to organise ourselves to make room for you.
Keep our eyes fixed on you, and help us to spend a quality time in intense communion with you.
Let your word remain in our hearts and in our mouths.
Take no account of our wanderings, Father, and give us the grace to be with you.
John, 5:39 – You search the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them: they testify about me.
Get closer to God’s word!
It is God’s word that sharpens us and enables us to obey, to follow the divine model.
We have to contemplate the model carefully to be able to imitate it.
It is by learning the life of Christ that we discover that our lives are different from that of the Lord and we see that we are not disciples unless we change.
We cannot continue to use the essence of God’s word for our own interests and to make money but refuse to acknowledge its creator.
This instruction should challenge us all, bring us closer to the Lord and he will enable us to have discernment.
