My Month Of Testimonies! Ps75:9

Good morning, Beloved,
We’re going to talk about something important this morning.
Things that we decided we would never do and that hit us hard in the face.
Peter was serious when he said he would give his life for the Lord,
He was willing to defend him, he was generous but he didn’t know his own weakness, he didn’t know that he needed his master’s generosity instead.
He pretended to die for Jesus when it should have been the other way round for our salvation.
Peter thought he was strong, but in front of a young servant girl, he chickened out.
Our human weakness sometimes gets the better of us through cowardice and we fall.
This is one of the reasons why Jesus asks us to watch and pray, to renounce ourselves and draw closer to God.
There is a gap between what we pretend to be and what we really are,
our decisions are out of our hands
We don’t honour the simplest promises.
We are reluctant to make commitments.
When we see Pierre’s case, we are surprised and say to ourselves that we would have done otherwise.
We want to judge and we think we are better.
The truth is that Jesus is the God of second chances.
He didn’t look at Peter’s weakness but instead gave him the key to the church.
Our instruction for the day is to pray never to deny our Lord.
To deny the Lord is to pretend not to know him,
To deny the Lord is to refuse to bear witness to him where we are promised death.
To deny the Lord is to betray him, to renounce his benefits,
To deny the Lord is to be unfaithful.
How many times have we turned our backs on the Lord for the pleasures of a minute?
How many times have we taken off our garment as children of God to satisfy the flesh?
How many times have we refused to assume our spiritual identity in order to be appreciated?
Denying Jesus comes in all shapes and forms and there is nothing we can do to avoid finding ourselves in this situation apart from clinging to the Lord.
We’re not strong, folks, it’s God who keeps us going.
We are not so wise, it is God who renews our intelligence.
Without Jesus to help us, we’ll always end up back in the mud.
Let us stand firm,
Let us be careful what comes out of our mouths,
Let us proclaim Jesus everywhere and to everyone.
It is when God’s presence is manifest that we can accept to suffer for our God, otherwise we will always be in the dark.
So this is what Yaweh says to us today: fast and pray never to deny the Lord.
Luke, 12:8 – I tell you, whoever confesses me before men, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God;
Luke 12:9 – But whoever denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
The Father is very clear on this.
If we behave like Pharisees, he will treat us like Pharisees.
If we want to take God’s place, he will strike us.
But if we tell of the works of the Lord, if we recognise that he is our redeemer and our provider, we will want for nothing.
So let us know how to behave with our Jesus.
Let’s stop using the back of the spoon,
Let us know how to bow down,
Let us humble ourselves and our lips will surely sing songs of joy.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
