My Month Of Honor! Jn12:26

Joseph was the child of Jacob’s old age.
His father loved him and had him sewn into a multi-colored tunic to mark his identity.
Seventeen-year-old Joseph knew he had a great destiny; he’d had a dream that eleven sheaves had prostrated themselves before his sheaf.
But only his brothers were jealous of Jacob’s love for him and began to hate him and conspire against him.
They planned to have him killed and then sold him to foreigners in the end.
Joseph ended up in Egypt as a servant to Pharaoh.
One day, Pharaoh’s wife wanted to spend some quality time with him but Joseph, being a God-fearing child of God, escaped and Pharaoh’s wife complained to her husband about his aggression.
False testimony took its place and Joseph found himself in prison.
Once behind bars, Joseph had two neighbors who each had a dream and Jacob’s son interpreted their dreams which came true.
This is how Pharaoh in turn is troubled by a dream he needs to explain.
The echanson remembers Joseph and Joseph is promoted to interim Pharaoh.
Only, there is a severe famine in the land of the Israelites, and food is needed.
This is how Joseph’s brothers, the same ones who had sold him, came to him for help.
Joseph suffered, but he also understood that God had allowed this to happen in order to introduce him to his destiny.
He had to explain to his brothers that this was God’s plan.
And Joseph was a source of blessing for his family.
Beloved, things won’t turn out the way we planned,
when we are people from whom blessing flows,
we must take it upon ourselves to espouse God’s will.
The talent God has given us,
The gift God gave us,
The money, the car…that God has given us,
we must use it for others, to relieve those in need.
Let’s look around us, is there anyone who doesn’t have enough to eat or to clothe themselves?
Is there someone who doesn’t have transportation to get around?
Let’s give,
Share,
Communion.
That’s letting His blessing flow.
Blessed is the Lord who promises to make you to source of blessing.
Genesis, 12:2 – I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a source of blessing.
This is God’s promise to Abraham that many will benefit from his grace.
The Lord deposited in him the potential to stand as a father to lead others.
So let’s let others draw from us so that we too can be sources of blessing.
