My Month Of Consecration! Ps119:10

We live in a world where we constantly want to show off our skills,
we want to show off our know-how all the time,
We’re always comparing what we have and what we own.
We always want to do more than the others, to have more cars, to have the biggest house,
be more famous…
but have we asked ourselves if this is what the Lord wants for us?
Competing means letting the flesh take over our spirit,
it means allowing our desires to control us, to dominate us,
to sin…
Competing means fostering sin and allowing it to take root in our hearts.
The problem with us is that we refuse to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help us and transform us.
To be in competition means to be frustrated, complexed,
jealous…
It means coveting the other person’s place,
it means wanting to take the place of others…
We marry to compete,
We sacrificed our glory for competition,
We found ourselves in mystical circles because of competition.
We wanted to appear, we wanted to be acclaimed,
We wanted to be on the table of kings and we find ourselves in perdition.
Let’s not play into the hands of the world that wants us to be more beautiful,
richer,
stronger,
it has made us believe that appearances are more important in our souls.
Servants against servants,
brothers against brothers…
Philippians, 2:3 – Do nothing out of partiality or vainglory, but let humility make you regard others as above yourselves.
Pray that you don’t compete with anyone.
The Lord calls us to humility.
Our spirit of rivalry and our useless desire to shine poison the fullness of God’s spirit,
Pride must not provoke envy and make us cling to our own interests.
Paul exhorts us in this passage to a humility that respects others and considers the interests of others.
If everyone considered everyone else to be superior to themselves
the world would be treated well.
This is God’s will for us, whether others do it or not.
So let’s banish the spirit of competition from our hearts and the world would be a quieter place.
