My Month Of Laughter! Es8:16

The Philistines ranged themselves in battle against Israel, and the battle began. Israel was defeated by the Philistines, and they killed about four thousand men on the battlefield.
When the people returned to the camp, the elders of Israel said, “Why has The LORD let us be beaten by the Philistines today? Let us go to Shiloh and get the ark of the covenant of The LORD; and let it come among us, and deliver us out of the hand of our enemies.
So the people sent to Shiloh, and brought there the ark of the covenant of The LORD of Hosts, which sits between the cherubim. The two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
When the ark of the covenant of The LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted for joy, and the earth was shaken.
When the Philistines heard the noise of the shouting, they said, “What is the meaning of this loud shouting in the camp of the Hebrews? And they heard that the ark of The LORD had come into the camp.
The Philistines were afraid, because they thought that God had come into the camp. Woe to us,” they said, “for it has not been so until now.
Sin always turns God away from his people.
To win God’s favour, we must repent and return to seek God’s mercy.
The Philistines had succeeded in defeating Israel because God’s people did not agree with the Lord.
When the defeat was bitter, insulting and humiliating, Israel began to wonder.
They realised that God’s presence was not on their side.
They realised that this failure was strange and that they were missing something important.
Whenever we take initiatives without consulting God, without God’s grace covering us, our enemies will always shame us.
Israel realised that they needed God,
that the Lord had to go before them, to accompany them.
Israel went to seek God whom they had abandoned,
they went to implore the Lord whom they had neglected,
they went to ask for help from Yaweh, whom they had rejected.
The Bible tells us that when the Ark of the Covenant passed through the camp, the enemies, who had been confident, serene and courageous, panicked.
The Philistines were afraid when the Lord of hosts made his entrance,
Israel shouted cries of triumph,
they began to celebrate victory,
confidence returned, self-assurance set in and victory changed sides.
The Philistines knew that God always makes a difference,
they have no opportunity to win where God is.
Yesterday’s insecurity turned to joy.
Psalms, 34:17 – The LORD turns his face against the wicked, To cut off their memory from the earth.
Fast and pray that the laughter of your enemies will be shortened and ended.
All those who have risen up to do us harm will be struck down by the Lord.
Our Yaya defends us from the claws of our enemies and breaks their weapons.
When our God acts, he cleanses everything that will remind us of suffering and pain so that we can savour our inheritance.
Good day to you all
