My Month Of Solidarity! Phil2:4

We are constantly experiencing indifference.
We see others as our adversaries, we find it hard to accept ourselves as ourselves.
We want everyone to go at our own pace,
we want others to be eternally grateful,
we want to automate others but it doesn’t work like that,
God created us different so that we could learn to love and respect each other.
In our drive to always dominate, we all have a problem with fraternity,
we no longer know how to live together,
we are no longer able to help others,
We’re always calculating.
We’re always calculating. We’re always looking to see what the other person has to offer, otherwise we throw them away.
More and more, people detach themselves easily, society advocates solitude and that doesn’t seem to bother us,
We isolate others without remorse.
Yet God told us that it is not good for man to be alone.
Understanding, unity, love, forgiveness and sharing are God’s heart’s desire for us.
He spoke to us this morning about brotherhood.
Brotherhood means seeing others as brothers and sisters.
It means shifting the boundaries between people and communities,
it’s putting the human above all else,
it means seeing the other as the temple of the Holy Spirit, the presence of God.
Fraternity is a duty, it is a responsibility.
In the book of Joshua 2: Joshua the son of Nun sent two spies secretly from Shittim, saying to them, “Go and search out the land, and Jericho in particular. So they went, and came to the house of a prostitute named Rahab, and slept there.
And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, men of the children of Israel came here this night to spy out the land.
The king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house; for they have come to search out all the land.
The woman took the two men and hid them, and said, “It is true that these men came to my house, but I didnt know where they were from; I dont know where they went, so if you hurry after them, you will reach them.
She had taken them up to the roof, and hid them under stalks of flax, which she had arranged on the roof.
Brotherhood means taking risks to protect your neighbour.
It means looking with spiritual eyes at what the other is carrying.
So, to equip ourselves further, God challenges us and invites us to leave behind social influences and to cover our hearts more closely.
Proverbs, 17:17 – A friend loves at all times, and is a brother in trouble.
Apply yourself to practicing fraternity.
Whether we are rich or poor, sick or healthy, better or worse…a friend accepts us as we are.
He doesn’t want us to be someone else in order to please,
They don’t want us to wear masks to hide our imperfections.
A friend doesn’t underestimate us,
he just wants us to be the best version of ourselves.
He’s there when we’re happy and doesn’t run away when we’re in trouble.
He simply helps us and loves us.
So, beloved, let’s ask the Lord to teach us what brotherhood is all about.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
