The first Sunday of the month of joy,
The first Sunday of the month that imposes stability,
The first Sunday of the month when balance is the order of the day,
The first Sunday of the month of Passover,
A Sunday of celebration, a Sunday of glory, a Sunday of preparation for the month.
Usually we are heavy to go to communion.
We usually refuse to go to assembly because we live far away or because yesterday we were in our worldly parties.
We usually choose to follow the online programme rather than meet in the temple.
Sometimes we are even tested to the point of discouragement and this reflects on our attitudes in our father’s house.
Beloved, the Lord did not say it would be easy, but He says He is the way, the truth and the life.
Whoever puts their trust in him will never be disappointed, and all who hope in him will not be put to shame.
So let us understand and understand well, when we decide to go and meet our lover,
our redeemer,
our comforter,
our provider,
our protector,
our Lord of hosts,
Let us know how to behave, we pray.
Let us be gracious,
Let us be warm,
Let us be hospitable.
How can we go out of our homes for an appointment but we are not in a position to negotiate?
How do we decide to go on a visit with all the anger in our hearts?
How do we see our presence in a church where we refuse to participate and get involved because of our concerns?
Do we really lay down our moods, our emotions, our feelings at the door of our sanctuaries before entering or do we decide to lay them down at the foot of Jesus.
Do we have the capacity to add or remove anything from our lives?
Certainly not.
So let us be joyful and trust the God we worship.
Let us stop lamenting and go to church to join in and connect with God’s spirit of favour and grace.
Joy draws good connections to us,
Joy creates opportunities in our environment.
Joy tells us that it is still possible.
Let’s make ourselves beautiful,
Let’s put on our best clothes and go and rejoice in the presence of God, let’s go and sing and dance songs of joy,
Let us tell the Lord that our lives are in his hands.
It is when we are serene that the devil understands that his agenda is destroyed, his strategies are blocked.
It is in the presence of God that we have assurance,
It is in the presence of God that we have the strength to continue.
So attend your assembly with great joy.
Psalms, 100:2 – Serve the LORD with joy, Come with gladness into his presence.
To serve is to make oneself available to someone, to be devoted, to support…
Let us not be blinking children, let us do God’s work with love.
Let us stop complaining, the reward is guaranteed, God sees our sacrifices.
Let us not be demoralised, let us go into his presence with joy and confidence.
He is there for us,
He is there to reassure us that his promises are being fulfilled.
Let us not fail in this month to settle down in our places of worship and see the glory of God locate us.
Good morning beloved
Good day to you
