My Month Of Consecration! Ps119:10

On our first Sunday of the year, the Lord puts a delicate subject on the table.
We don’t like it, but that’s okay.
He doesn’t need our opinion,
he’s not interested in how we feel,
He just says what he wants and imposes it.
If we want to take it, that’s fine with him, but if we don’t want to take it, let’s all sit back in our chairs.
The debates we create in our neighbourhoods without any knowledge of them,
the words we spew out of our mouths when it comes to giving is just pitiful, but this morning, the point the Lord is making is “the painful one”.
We are already nervous,
we’re already uncomfortable,
it’s a sore subject, it’s a chilling question.
In any case, we’re all here for the truth, and the truth is that giving and tithing are part of the gospel.
Let’s stop pretending that it’s theft,
let’s stop pretending it’s not biblical, let’s stop trampling on other people’s hallways.
The gospel is not free, we must know that.
How can we conceive that Yaweh has given us to enter a new year and we take it as normal, taken for granted.
We don’t think it’s our responsibility to make an offering of gratitude,
we don’t think it’s an opportunity to give thanks,
we don’t even prepare a moment to pause and renegotiate what comes next with our Father.
The terrible thing is that we always think of giving a gift to our parents because they brought us into the world,
we think they deserve to be more comfortable,
We think they deserve to be more comfortable, we give little packages to our bosses to make us stand out and thank them for their trust, but when it’s time to make a gesture for God, everyone pulls out their chair to waste their breath and get into the arguments.
We dare to get up and go and see a man of God with empty hands and we complain about our frustrations,
We don’t know how to return to the Lord when the reason for our sleep has been solved.
We say to ourselves that it is the pastor who benefits and we quickly forget that it is he whom the Lord has used.
Beloved, the labourer deserves his wages,
if we want the man of God to always be in good shape to intercede for us, we must also make him comfortable, it’s not a discussion.
We are so ungrateful that sometimes it is not the grace that blesses us that benefits from our fruits,
we go and deposit them elsewhere and we call ourselves children of the house,
we want to see evolution elsewhere than on our altar.
We have to pay our tithes, one tenth of our income.
It’s none of our business what we do with it.
We give it to the Lord. That’s the end of it.
Let’s also remember that the Lord’s altar must not be short of food.
When we go to worship, let us remember our contributions, our gifts.
It is when we satisfy God’s heart that we are blessed,
God has to be satisfied for the blessing to take place.
If an anointed one leads us in prayer, we must give an offering.
In fact, every time the Lord does something unique in our lives
we must give an offering because, in the end, what we have is given to us by the Lord.
He can also decide to dry them all up, what will we do?
It’s not a favour, it’s not a complaint, it’s the rules.
If we want to be blessed, let’s bless others.
If we want a financial breakthrough, let’s practice liberality.
God himself made an offering that continues to speak into our lives, who are we to resist the word of God?
The instruction is not to give when we want, it’s to be constant, frequent.
God watches over us all the time, we must also have a heart of gratitude all the time.
Be faithful in your offerings and tithes.
Malachi, 3:10 – Bring all the tithes to the treasury house, that there may be food in my house; prove me thus, says the Lord of hosts. And you shall see whether I will not open the floodgates of heaven for you, and pour out blessing on you in abundance.
It’s clear and unambiguous.
It’s in God’s house that everything is deposited, not in orphanages, not in leper-houses, not with the needy…
The treasure house is the source,
it’s the root,
it’s where our riches draw their strength.
The verse points out the challenge that the Lord is issuing to all those who obey this instruction.
To those who honour him, the Lord is ready to engage all his networks to give us a smile and satisfy our needs,
He is ready to set us apart and make us a source of wonder.
So let’s start our year with good deeds.
Good morning to you all
Good day to you all
