Mon Mois De La Connaissance! Ho4:6

Lord, help us to understand all the revelations hidden in this season.
Very often we receive the word but it falls away very quickly and does not produce because we are careless.
You point us in a direction but we get distracted along the way,
our occupations prevent us from swimming along the path where you are waiting for us.
So this morning, we want to stop and ask your forgiveness for our carelessness,
we want to implore your mercy in our lives,
we continue to cling more to the world’s reasoning than to you.
We are so influenced by the laws of our society that we even forget that you are sovereign,
you are the one who changes all things…
Father, we want to be able to trust you fully.
Reading novels is normal…
Watching sports programmes gets us excited…
Getting the news to keep up with the world is a delight, but it’s always a torment when we think it’s time for prayer,
it’s a burden when we have to read our Bibles,
It’s boring when we have to go to church…
Why???
We have allowed ourselves to be dominated by the world and yet, as children of God, we are the light of the world.
Since we’ve been having conversations with our friends, have we found a moment to tell them who we are?
We listen to their songs but they can never download a praise song.
We drink alcohol to please them but we don’t have the courage to tell them it’s not our share.
We are ashamed to tell them that they should pray before eating with us.
We use the same language, the same words, the same complaints as they do…
We can’t go on like this, our lamp has to stay lit wherever we are.
It’s up to us to impose ourselves,
it’s up to us to make room for our Jesus.
We must shine, we must illuminate wherever we are.
It is the understanding of the things of God that makes the difference,
The way God’s spirit helps us in situations and guides us when we have to make a decision that sustains us.
Our light must shine through our words, our prayers, our encouragement when faced with someone who is sinking into darkness.
Walking in God’s light is not an option, it requires a commitment.
Matthew, 5:14 – You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden;
Pray to understand your role as the light of the world.
everyone must be at his post,
everyone must be a sentinel.
To make our light shine, we will move towards God’s presence by loving him and seeking his word.
