What truth does the Lord want to tell us this morning?
Can we really know the truth?
It is relative, it varies, it depends on the circumstances.
What is true for us is not necessarily true for others.
We are in a society where lies reign, where appearances rule, where seduction is topical.
The truth is enduring, solid, and faithful.
The word of God is the truth,
Jesus is the truth, he is the revelation of God, he is the deep revelation which renews spiritual intelligence and brings about the change of life.
We hold it as the truth that our lives belong to us and that we can do whatever we want.
Some think suicide is normal, others think having children before marriage is good yet it is a lie, we act on what we believe to be the truth.
The Lord brought us out of this lost world.
We were in darkness, he led us to the light, we were in a lie, he led us to the truth.
We also need to know that it is the truth that sanctifies us, that keeps us separate from the world and unites us to Jesus Christ.
The truth gives us a new identity.
Psalms, 119: 30 – I choose the way of truth, I place your laws before my eyes.
Be attracted by truth.
We have to make a choice, either loyalty or infidelity.
We must stand out between those who obey and those who disobey.
Let’s do the will of the Lord.
The path we take is up to us.
Let the truth of God’s word transform us and establish us in our Canaan.
