My Month Of Praises! He13:15

It’s our pastors’ day.
We must stop today to think of them as the Lord wishes.
We are sheep in a sheepfold, but we are not at ease in the place where we live.
We think that the master next door is better,
We think the servant in another church is better.
We prefer to praise other parents,
We like to respect our neighbours’ leaders.
We value the preaching of other anointed ones.
Everything our leaders do, we criticise, we condemn,
we judge them.
None of us takes the time to glorify the Lord who has led us to the feet of his servant.
We all want to introduce familiarity into our dealings with our men of God.
The Bible tells us that one day Elisha was passing through Sunem.
There was a distinguished woman there who urged him to eat.
Every time he passed by, he went to her house to eat.
Here was a woman who knew how to honour the servant of God.
She understood that the man of God is an authority,
she decided not to let the Lord’s Anointed go out and tend to souls without food.
Many of us are not interested in the way men of God go about getting their daily bread.
Some of us don’t even have enough to eat or drink, but we’re just preoccupied with other things.
This woman resolved to look after this servant,
Elysée did not accept this mother’s invitation, but it was on insistence that he gave in.
Hospitality is a sign of honour.
When we welcome a hero into our homes, it’s also because we want to honour him that we shy away.
She didn’t just stop at feeding him, she convinced her husband to make a little upper room for Elysée so that he wouldn’t be without a place to sleep or rest when he was in town.
Beloved, let us learn to nurture our pastors.
Let us learn to give them the place of privilege they deserve.
Let us stop thinking that we can do anything with our servants.
The oil on their head is powerful and it can give us access to blessing.
When have we taken time to bless our pastor?
When have we prayed for them or pleased them?
They too need our love and attention,
They too sometimes need to talk to let off steam,
They too need help and support.
Are we where God wants us to be?
Let’s get back to serving.
Acts, 13:2 – While they were serving the Lord in their ministry and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.
The church was praying and fasting.
The church was seeking the face of the Lord when the Holy Spirit chose men of the word.
When the Lord singles out his servants, it is not up to us to fail to welcome the presence of God in their lives.
As children of God, we must do our part,
that is, encourage our pastors to continue spreading the gospel.
It is in service that our leaders are visited.
Beloved, let us honour those who pray for us,
they also intercede for the hand of the enemy to be withheld from us.
Lord, we bless your name.
Good day to all
Good day to you all
