My Month Of Honor! Jn12:26

The Lord is talking about rebuke this morning, but first of all, Lord, we ask your forgiveness.
We are so prone to shouting at others,
we don’t want to understand other people’s reasons,
we don’t want any explanation,
we just want to scold,
we just want to reproach.
The Lord tells us to love our neighbour, and love is not about making others feel uncomfortable,
it’s about allowing
to be happy and fulfilled.
Reprimanding is not bad,
it’s to put things right,
it’s about improving,
It’s about moving forward, not destroying.
We must also say that we are God’s children, God is our father, when he reproaches us,
we must obey and submit to his authority.
Some of us lack character, others get angry easily, and so we need wisdom to know how to address others.
To rebuke is to love.
It’s better for us to have easy relationships and that’s what we like, for people to think well of us, but it’s not always the best plan.
To reprimand
is to correct,
is to discipline.
Moses disobeyed the Lord.
Israel needed water and the Lord’s instructions were to speak to the rock and not to strike.
Under the exasperation of this ungrateful people, Moses gave in to his flesh and the Lord made him suffer the consequences.
The Bible tells us that the fruit of sin is death.
So how could Moses, who had sacrificed everything,
worked hard for a nation, find himself disqualified?
Let’s be careful…
Time and time again, he implored the Lord’s mercy, but one day the Lord took him back and told him not to talk to him about this matter any more.
Beloved, when the Lord gives us a warning
let’s pull over,
because God’s thoughts are not our own.
Proverbs, 13:18 – Poverty and shame are the lot of him who rejects correction, But he who regards reproof is honoured.
Pray not to hate rebuke.
He who does not love rebuke is proud and foolish.
He is the one who will not know prosperity because he is full of himself, but he who loves help, who appreciates being guided, that is the one who will know glory.
So let’s sit down and listen.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
