My Month Of Possession! Job42:12

Since we’ve been going to evangelisation,
we’ve been in touch with a number of people who organise themselves without prioritising days of worship.
They allow their activity to come first,
their needs,
their home,
their commitments but not the one that keeps them going.
Some have planned their own way of keeping busy, but haven’t figured out how to let go.
We think it’s hard work that makes us successful,
We think it’s our regular presence in the workplace that keeps us stable.
We don’t know how to let go of our interests and look up to the sky,
We are attached to very little.
Mary understood that the presence of the Lord gave access to rest, and she gave up everything to go and sit at the feet of the Master,
yet Martha continued to work,
she reacted according to the flesh like most of us,
She wanted to receive the Lord, but at that moment it was not necessary.
It was the spiritual food that was to strengthen and build her up.
So our passage today is more a warning that we don’t know how to structure ourselves,
We want to embrace everything without being able to pause, and that’s what worries the Lord.
The Seventh Day,
is the Sabbath,
it’s for resting, it’s for celebrating God,
it’s for giving thanks to the Father.
Let’s not confuse things,
it’s a day that belongs to the Lord, so we must leave everything,
abandon everything,
to give Yaweh his glory.
Let’s not be selfish, let’s think of this powerful God who offers us new opportunities when we also know how to give him all the honour.
Exodus, 34:21 – Six days thou shalt labour, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest; thou shalt rest even in the time of ploughing and reaping.
Pray to have time to rest despite whatsoever your possessions may be.
The verse is an instruction,
a command,
an instruction from our Lord.
Let us work every day as we see fit, but on the day of rest,
is not to be managed as we wish.
The Lord urges us to rest even if our work overflows,
even if it’s our time to harvest.
We have to keep things in perspective.
Let’s not joke about the Lord’s principles, that’s where he gets his glory,
it is in this that he shows us his greatness.
So we are invited to disciple him and the rest, God will do.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
