My Month Of Prosperity! 3Jn1:2

Uzziah became king at sixteen and everyone wondered how a child king was going to rule or whether he must have been immature like Rehoboam who had taken bad advice from the young.
But Uzziah proved that he was a responsible young man.
When he began his reign, he sought God and his wisdom, and won the trust of the people early on.
He was aware that he was young to be king and that he needed the Lord’s help if he was to succeed and God made him prosper.
As long as Uzziah sought the Lord, God made him prosper.
This king built cities for the people of Judah, he also built towers for protection, he encouraged the development of the land….
The land of Judah was prosperous, rich and renowned.
Uzziah had a standing army and with God’s help he won all his battles.
Uzziah had an intimacy with God that earned him his success, so he had gained fame, strength, prosperity with God’s help.
Unfortunately, at some point, Uzziah began to think about himself.
Instead of giving thanks and glory to God, he thought he had done too many good things.
He took credit for his success.
He began to become proud, and elevated himself in his own eyes.
One day, Uzziah decided to burn incense to the Lord.
Only the priests were allowed to enter the Holy Place, and only the priests were allowed to burn incense on the golden altar.
Uzziah must have been a very religious man to burn incense to the Lord. But in doing so, he was giving himself a privilege that God had not given him. It meant that he was trying to occupy a place that God had only given to the priests.
One would expect Uzziah to rush out of the sacred place and pray for forgiveness. But Uzziah was proud and defied the priests and God.
Leprosy began to appear on his forehead. He was smitten by the Lord, and that was the end of his greatness.
Perhaps Uzziah could have been healed, but we don’t read that he even repented.
Let not riches separate us from our God,
May material possessions not rob us of our prayer time,
May physical prosperity not drive us mad in the eyes of the Lord.
Revelation, 3:17 – Because you say, “I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing,” and don`t know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked,
Pray to remain humble no matter how rich you are.
Wealth comes with pride if we do not know how to sit at the feet of the master.
With these goods, men appreciate us but where do we go to receive the honours of men on the last day?
In hell, wretched and poor…
Good morning beloved
Good day to you
