My Month Of Justice! Mal4:2

Let’s listen and listen carefully, vengeance belongs to God, it is he who will do our palaver.
That’s how it is, and as long as we try to pay back an affront, it’s clearly a sin, even if we’re right.
If someone has offended us or hurt us, it’s normal to feel angry and want them to be punished for what they’ve done.
But taking revenge goes against the message of the Bible.
God is not pleased by the desire for revenge, so let’s settle our problems peacefully.
When we suffer pain
when an injustice has scandalised us,
When an offence has taken our breath away, we have only one desire: to take revenge.
Who hasn’t felt that?
Calming our suffering and our fear is complicated when the wound is still open.
We are all Cain, refusing to see others honoured,
Our nature is no different from Cain’s because we hold grudges for things that can be put right.
Cain and Abel are two brothers from the same family living in the same house,
they were brought up in the same way,
They had received a Christian education and knew that offering is the thing that touches God.
So they decided to do something and give to God.
Cain was a farmer and gave his best fruit, while Abel gave the first-fruits of his sheep because he was a shepherd.
The Bible tells us that God appreciated Abel’s seed and Cain became angry,
he began to envy his brother,
he developed bitterness and things started to get cold between them.
Even when the Lord warned Cain about the state of his heart, he didn’t listen and killed his brother.
Yet Cain could make up for it,
he could return to plead with the Lord for a second opportunity.
Cain had a competitive spirit,
he wanted to be the one who was acclaimed and respected.
He wanted to sit in the front row and unfortunately, he took his revenge.
Romans, 12:19 – Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but give way to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
Avoid revenge.
This text from Romans 12:19 shows us that vengeance may one day be exacted on someone who wrongs us, but by letting the Lord act, we will keep our hands clean and our hearts pure.
Let us not allow the enemy to influence the seed that the Lord places in us,
let us not allow him to poison our minds and hearts with his venom that destroys us bit by bit.
Let us trust in the Lord and he will act.
Good day to you all
Good day to you
