Proverbs 23:10 Do not move the old landmark, and enter not into the field of orphans;
Do not oppress the weak to enrich yourself.
This is a prohibition that we allow ourselves in most of the time to do.
We are careless, we are forgetful, we are pretentious.
And we trample on the boundaries that our fathers set.
The world has become such that the system pushes us to take care of our appearances, to put seduction first, to feel superior to others.
We want to be rich by all means at all costs and we develop strategies that humiliate the body of Christ.
In the bible, Jezebel took Naboth’s field by force, she felt that he is nobody, he does not deserve this inheritance.
She felt above him because of her position and she took his life to take his property.
Zacchaeus is a character in the bible, he was a tax collector, he was not liked by people in his town, he was rich and had no friends.
He was known for his dishonesty and his pride.
For him the most important was his status and influence, he was not shy about crushing others.
In our families, when we lose our fathers, everyone stands up against us, the fights are fierce because everyone wants to come out of this death with a profit.
For this understanding that we cultivate and that pleases us, the Lord gives us a warning.
Let’s not cross the line, let’s not cross the line.
Even in a country, no one crosses a border anyhow, you need an authorization, you need a pass, you need an agreement.
Where our limit ends, that of the other begins.
Israel was to share the Promised Land and each had its own clearly delimited territory.
When we read the passage of the day, we understand that the old milestones, these are the instructions left by our fathers, these are their life lessons, these are their experiences, their ways of doing things, their foundations, their walks with God. , their possessions … that they leave us to guide us and prevent us from going off the traced path.
Then the verse warns us not to take what is not ours, not to touch the good of the orphan.
Who is the orphan?
It is the one who has no strength, it is the one who alone, it is the poor, it is the needy …
We cannot take or touch what helps them, it is even up to us to be generous with them.
We must also understand that the orphan enjoys the special protection of the Lord and he will always defend him.
When the boundary is marked, let’s not cross it, don’t pull it out, don’t break it.
And let’s just know that the terminal is set to channel us and to slow us down.
It helps us to know where and how to express ourselves and what is refused.
So let’s respect our limits, respect the recommendations and honor the orphan.
Hello everyone
Have a good day
