My Month Of Joy ! Ps30:11

We are going through too much at the same time.
Children who are sick,
The demands for explanations at the office,
The car that breaks down,
School fees that have to be paid,
Our phones being stolen…
Enough is enough.
We are frustrated,
We are angry,
We are aggressive,
We envy those who seem calm,
We covet those who appear confident,
We are seduced by the comfort of others.
We sometimes say to ourselves if only we had money, we would be happy,
If only we had health, we would travel like never before,
If only we had work, life would be easy,
if only,
if only…
As if our lives depended on our assets,
as if our happiness is based on our ability to have what we want.
Let us know that things are nice and make us happy for a while.
But as soon as the space is empty,
when something is missing, everything falls apart and everything around us becomes dark.
So here is a commandment the Lord gives us this morning.
1 Thessalonians 5:16 – Always be joyful.
Pray to remain in joy.
If the Lord says so, it means that it is possible.
Yaweh wants us to be joyful at all times, right now, today, in the situation we are in.
Our joy does not depend on the trials we have, or the circumstances we face.
If we can’t have something now,
it’s okay, let’s give thanks to God, we’ll get another chance.
Let us not be ungrateful, our God is faithful and he does every good thing in its time.
Rain or shine, let us be joyful.
Let us place everything in the hands of our Lord and he will give us a well-deserved strength and rejoicing.
Nothing should take away the inheritance that the Lord has given us.
To be joyful in the face of a problem is also to tell the Lord that we rely on him.
LORD, fill us with this joy so that we can move through this month in victory.
