My Month Of Joy! Ps30:11

Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem through Samaria and Galilee.
As he entered a village, ten lepers came to meet him.
The ten lepers knew the rules, they had to be in the fields, away from the people to avoid contagion.
The Bible tells us that they stayed away and asked Jesus for help, they don’t need alms, they just want healing.
Jesus sends them back to the priests to testify about their deliverance.
Jesus does not pray for them, he does not lay hands on them but gives them instruction.
The ten lepers obey Jesus’ word and go to the priest.
It is on the way that healing takes place in their lives.
And we give thanks to the Lord but what interests us this morning is the action of one of the lepers, he went back to Jesus to glorify him, to bow down and to show him all his gratitude.
This is also how we know that he is a Samaritan, a non-believer, a foreigner, an enemy of the authentic word of God, who knew how to discern the favourable time for his restoration when Christians are worn down.
For the one who returned, Jesus sealed his healing and offered him salvation.
Let us know this morning that physical healing is less important than our salvation.
Jesus is the merciful presence who saves the lost.
Let us learn to serve the Lord with love and joy, the one who returned to Jesus was aware that ingratitude is ruin.
He is the living testimony of a miracle that no one could offer him, everyone, even his family, had rejected him, and one day the Lord opens the doors of glory for him to grasp.
To serve God is to recognise that we trust him,
It is to recognise that he is invincible and unfailing.
To serve God is to be responsive to his call.
How many opportunities have we missed to make our Creator count?
To serve God is to ensure His continuing joy.
Deuteronomy 28:47 – For not having served the LORD your God joyfully and heartily in the midst of the abundance of all things,
Pray that you will not fail to serve the Lord with joy.
Beloved, it is not because we have nothing to do that we do not make ourselves available to God,
So if we want to do God’s work, let us do it with joy and strength.
Cursing, desolation, disobedience are signs that we refuse to follow God’s recommendations.
To prevent these things from being our lot, let us serve God.
