On every street corner we hear that we are in the age of grace.
They say that grace is available,
we can afford to do whatever we want,
not to judge others,
not to blame ourselves too much,
to be tolerant of sin,
to understand our laxity and our neglect of God’s service.
The grace we’re talking about gives us all kinds of permission, and it’s also the reason why so many of us proclaim our faith and our Christianity, even though our lives are anything but a dwelling place of the Lord.
The grace we are talking about gives us to believe that we can do whatever we want in the body of Christ without being punished.
This grace also helps to simplify and dilute the very essence of God’s word.
The Bible tells us that grace is deceptive.
As much as it helps us, it also destroys us.
So when the Lord speaks to us about grace, he challenges us because it is an undeserved favour,
it is an unjustified kindness,
it’s an unjust love.
Let’s not take it for granted.
The fact that the Lord is always holding out his hand to us must never make us proud.
We must be grateful to him for our health,
we should honour him for the life he gives us,
we must exalt him for his presence at our side,
we should praise him for every member of our families,
we must venerate him for the work of our hands, for provision, for our children…
It’s not because we pray to Jesus, it’s because he loves us unconditionally.
Beloved, many say to minus one,
they call it luck,
they think it’s their idol that got them out of trouble, but it’s God’s grace.
What have we done to deserve God’s grace?
What have we said to make God’s hand secure?
If God’s grace is not on our heads, we will be dead men, even though we are standing on our feet.
If the hand of God is withdrawn from our heads, welcome sterility and backwardness.
It is in our interest to fight for grace to be permanent and relevant in our lives.
To do this, we must remain attached to the Lord,
we must keep the word of God in our hearts.
Psalms, 32:10 – Many sorrows are the portion of the wicked, But he who trusts in the Lord is surrounded by his grace.
Pray that God’s grace will be constant in your life.
The wicked are our enemies,
they are not happy,
they suffer because they know neither peace nor rest, but he who makes the Lord his priority is in no danger of falling into the hands of his enemies,
he is not shaken by bad news,
he is led by God,
he is filled with joy and enjoys peace.
Let us pray for God’s grace to be with us.
Good morning to you all
Good day to you all
