My Month Of Strengthening! Ps125:1

And it came to pass, when the king was dwelling in his house, and The LORD had given him rest, and had delivered him from all his enemies that surrounded him, that he said to Nathan the prophet, Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, and the ark of God dwells in the midst of a tent.
*And he said to Nathan the prophet, Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, and the ark of God dwells in the midst of a tent.
*Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in your heart; for the Lord is with you.
*And the next night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying
*Go and tell my servant David, Thus says The LORD: Will you build me a house to make my dwelling there?
*But I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt to this day; I have travelled in a tent and in a tabernacle.
*Wherever I went with all the children of Israel, did I speak a word to any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why don`t you build me a house of cedar?* Now therefore say to my servant David, Thus says The LORD of Hosts, I have taken you from the pasture behind the sheep to be ruler over my people, over Israel;*
*I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made your name great as the name of the great ones who are on the earth.
*I have given a dwelling place to my people Israel, and planted them, that they may dwell therein, and not be troubled any more, and that the wicked may not oppress them as before.
*and as in the days when I set up judges over my people Israel. I have given you rest from all your enemies. The LORD has told you that he will build you a house.
*When your days are fulfilled, and you lie down with your fathers, then I will raise up your seed after you, who shall come forth out of your womb, and I will establish his kingdom.
*He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
*I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. If he does wrong, I will punish him with the rod of men and with the blows of the children of men.
*But my lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I departed from Saul, whom I rejected before you.
*Thy house and thy kingdom shall be secure for ever; thy throne shall be established for ever.
When we read this text, we understand how important it is to recognise the greatness and sovereignty of our Lord.
Let’s not be ungrateful, let’s see God’s love in our lives, and that’s what David honoured.
God has strengthened him, given him ease in his throne and as a sign of his gratitude, he wishes to give glory to the Lord by building him a temple.
No-one before David had thought of this, it was inconceivable for the king to be in a cedar house yet God’s presence is in a tent.
Because of this thought, the Lord made a promise to David to give him an eternal and secure throne, a stable home.
Yaweh doesn’t just talk about King David, it talks about his descendants, his family, his successor.
Not only will the one who comes out of David’s body inherit, but he will also have a kingdom established for ever.
Our Lord is not talking here about fleeting, temporary things; he is granting him favour, he is making his glory shine on David.
David’s reign will be hereditary, a throne of peace.
The Lord adopts the heir and is always ready to show kindness.
And that’s why we need to pray for our houses to remain handcuffed to the Lord.
Psalms, 147:13 – For he establishes the bars of your gates; he blesses your sons in your midst;
Pray that your house will be established in the Lord in 2025.
God gives us the ability to keep our doors closed,
not to give the enemy access to sow tares in our hearts, to dwell in his presence in order to secure the blessing that will keep us in peace and satisfy our souls.
We will continue to serve you, Lord
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
