To be the bearer of good news is to proclaim the Gospel.
It is a joy to know that Jesus has risen and that he is our source of hope.
This joy must not remain ours alone; we must share it with others.
We are not witnesses to the resurrection for nothing, we are not Christians for ourselves,
We must share the knowledge of God with others by spreading Christ throughout creation.
Many have heard of Jesus, but how many have heard the testimony of the resurrected Jesus in our own lives?
How many have offered the gospel to their families and friends?
In our words and actions, can we recognise Jesus in ourselves?
Let us be strong, courageous, qualified, distinguished disciples who live only to proclaim the gospel.
Lord, give us the zeal and readiness to serve you like Mary Magdalene and the other Mary in Matthew.
*After the Sabbath, on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.
*And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and rolled away the stone, and sat on it.
*His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment as white as snow.
*The guards trembled for fear, and became as dead men.
*But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
*He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
*and go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead. Behold, he goes before you into Galilee, and there you will see him.
*They went quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell the disciples.
Are we among those who bring the good news?
The Lord is giving us an opportunity today to tell a needy person about him.
Isaiah, 52:7 – How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, of him who brings good news, who proclaims salvation! Of him who brings good tidings, who publishes salvation; of him who says to Zion, Your God reigns!
Decide to become a bearer of good news.
The feet of the one who proclaims the gospel are beautiful because they are clean, and they leave a trace and an imprint, a joyful echo because they are witnesses of God’s love.
Let’s apply this verse to our lives.
There are many people around us who need this good news right now. They have died in sin and are on the road to hell, and we have peace to bring them.
We have happiness to bring.
We have salvation to make known.
May God give us feet to make this good news known.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
