Let’s forget what happened and forgive.
Forgiveness is therapy.
We see children of God who cannot move forward because they are suffocating under the weight of bitterness.
Sometimes it hurts so much that we refuse to let go of the chains of guilt,
Sometimes we even close our hearts to love because we have experienced disappointment.
We blame others,
we’re not happy and those we don’t want to forgive are sometimes fulfilled and don’t know that our hearts aren’t honest with them.
We look down on them, we avoid them but as long as we don’t let them go, we are not in God’s will.
Unforgiveness closes our heaven and the Lord strongly recommends that we do not fall into this trap.
Every time we want to disobey God’s word, let’s remember that we also betrayed Jesus even though he loved us,
We rejected him when he needed us,
We did not clothe him when he was naked,
We didn’t feed him when he was hungry.
But he was always faithful,
he went to the cross,
he bore our faults and our burdens without complaint and he paid the price with his blood.
Do we think that Jesus was not disappointed by our attitudes?
Do we think he didn’t need support?
He knew that his mission was to redeem us.
He had to be willing to forgive us so that we could be free.
If he did that and we hurt him, he was hurting.
Who are we to say that others do not deserve our forgiveness?
Do we think that what others have done to us is superior to what we have done to Jesus?
Friends, no matter how bad someone has hurt us, our responsibility is to forgive no matter what the problem.
We don’t forgive to make others feel good,
we do it for ourselves,
It is for our own good that we return the favour of Christ’s forgiveness.
Forgiveness is a life choice.
Love is the fruit of the spirit.
If we lack forgiveness, we lack love.
Forgive all those who have hurt you.
Colossians, 3:13 – Bear with one another, and if one has cause for complaint against the other, forgive one another. As Christ forgave you, forgive one another.
God made us different so that we could learn brotherhood and love.
Let’s learn to tolerate others and forgive them.
This is only possible with the strength of the Lord.
We will always face quarrels and conflicts… but let us not hold grudges or anger in our hearts.
Let us always forgive.
May the Lord bless us
Good day to you all
