We all love fashion.
What appeals to us is what everyone likes and appreciates.
We keep up with the times, we’re always thirsty for change and we’ve managed to trivialise everything,
to take everything lightly and even to accept a type of thinking.
As soon as we want to do something different, it sounds wrong,
others think we’re out of step,
we’re not at the cutting edge,
we’re just part of the older generation and we’re called has-beens, it’s old-fashioned.
And why is that?
We live in a world of every man for himself, God for all.
And that’s normal, individualism runs deep.
Children are quick to turn away from their parents,
couples break up very easily,
even the churches are in full competition.
We no longer know brotherly love; we have detached ourselves from the source to run with the vision of the world.
More than ever, the Lord invites us to be more attentive, more loving, more united.
Philippians, 2:4 – Let each of you, instead of considering his own interests, also consider those of others.
Welcome to our fourth month of the year.
*My Month Of Solidarity
This verse may sound old-fashioned in our minds, but we need to hear it more than ever.
In this month, the Lord is recommending that we be more attentive to others,
to what they are, to what they experience.
Let’s work on our mentality to think more in terms of the general interest than the individual interest.
Let’s give others more space, more time…
Let’s break out of our habits and reach out more to others.
Be more sensitive to the needs of others,
Let’s have more compassion for others.
*Two are better than one” says the Bible, so on our own we are limited, but unity, solidarity and mutual help will make all the difference.
It’s our responsibility to bring comfort at this time of year, and above all to be a source of blessing.
And it is also because we will seek the interests of Christ that we will consider those of others.
The Lord is counting on us for more love.
Strive to treat your neighbour as yourself.
Matthew, 7:12 – Whatever you want men to do for you, do likewise for them, for this is the law and the prophets.
We like to be treated with more love, respect and kindness, so let’s do the same for others.
This passage is at the heart of God and he wants us to make it a rule.
Let us act for the good of others without condition or affinity.
Let us simply love as Jesus has loved us.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
