It’s true that the Lord has said that he’s going to do us good, that he’s going to lift our heads from the dust, that we’re going to rejoice, but all these things will be possible if our trust is in Jesus.
Too happy to enter a new month but are we ready for new challenges?
Are we ready to obey God’s instructions?
It’s not always easy to wait and see what the Lord will do.
Waiting is scary,
it stresses us,
it worries us…
According to our thoughts, everything is uncertain, but we are confused because Jesus is not our strength.
We don’t have the Lord as our crutch, we are reassured when a man makes us promises,
we are confident when our pastors say a word to us.
This is not bad, but we must learn to make our Yaweh our refuge.
Let’s stop running into the arms of people who can do nothing for us,
stop wasting our time on strategies that empty and distract us.
This morning’s question: who have we put our trust in?
In our money?
In our relationships?
In the hands of our children?
As long as our help does not come from the Lord, we are dead men.
Without direction,
Without vision,
without direction.
Many things distract us from God, from his good plan, but he who trusts in the Lord will always have the victory because our God is faithful.
In 1 Samuel 30, When David and his people arrived in Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had invaded the south and Ziklag. They had destroyed and burnt Ziklag,
after taking captive the women and all those who were there, both young and old. They killed no one, but took everything and set out again.
When David and his men came to the city, behold, it was burnt, and their wives, their sons, and their daughters were carried away captive.
So David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept until they could weep no more.
David’s two wives had been taken captive, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail of Carmel, Nabal’s wife.
David was greatly distressed, for the people were talking about stoning him to death, because they were all bitter in their souls, every one because of his sons and daughters. But David took heart in the Lord his God.
He said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod: Bring me the ephod. Abiathar brought the ephod to David.
David inquired of The LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And the LORD said to him, Pursue, for you will overtake and deliver.
Let us not allow anxiety to control and dominate us.
Let us rely on God, his wisdom and his resources.
Blessed be the Lord who guarantees you his help and your victory.
Psalms, 37:24 – If he fall, he shall not be cast down, For the Lord taketh his hand.
Sometimes we go through difficult times,
It may happen that the enemy agitates us, but the Bible reassures us of the certain victory that comes from the Lord.
This desert is not one of death; the Lord accompanies us,
his presence is our assurance.
The right hand of the Lord will always lift us up.
We will emerge from this difficulty unscathed because the Lord of hosts is our source.
Good day to you all
