My Month Of Joy! Ps30:11

We want to relate the story from Acts 3 to help us understand the Lord’s instruction this morning.
Peter and John were going up to the temple to pray.
There was a man who was lame from birth who was laid before the temple door every day.
This lame man could not work,
the only thing he could do was to ask people for alms to support himself.
Everyone had abandoned him,
Everyone had rejected him.
So much of the world had made him believe that he was useless that the lame man himself had settled into limitation.
In his situation, he could only appreciate the happiness of others from afar because he had been left out.
The temple is the house of God,
it’s the place where everyone regardless of social status has access but for him, the joy was for others,
the grace was for others,
the talents were for others.
The world had turned his life into an incredible routine that he didn’t even realise he could get out of,
that he didn’t even have the discernment to recognize the givers of grace.
In any case, the Bible tells us that Peter and John stopped and offered him help.
These disciples wanted to connect the paralytic in the abundant life, they wanted him to understand that the grace that never fails is available and they gave him the joy that no one can give apart from Jesus.
They brought him deliverance and offered him salvation.
The rest of the story tells us that the lame man got up and went to worship with the others in the temple.
Something he had never experienced and the same people to whom he was a disgrace marvelled at the greatness and miracle of the Lord in his life.
Beloved, nothing is lost for us.
We can still bounce back,
the Lord can still break down the barricaded doors before us,
The Father restores and delivers all who serve him.
Psalms, 51:12 – Create in me a clean heart, O God; renew a willing spirit within me.
Fast and pray for the joy of your salvation again.
We must guard our hearts more than anything else.
It is the Lord who gives us the grace to free ourselves from all that clutters our minds.
We had a heart attached to the Lord, we were faithful and obedient, and one day, everything changed.
God loves the heart that seeks Him, and the Lord found it in David.
Give us back a heart of love that fears and loves you.
Give us to preserve our salvation for the glory of your name.
Good morning to all
Good day to you
