This morning we celebrate you, Jesus.
We give him all the glory,
he deserves to be exalted,
he is our protector
he is our high refuge,
he is the one who precedes our steps,
he is not the one who changes our history,
he is our guide,
he is the door of blessing.
We cannot serve Jesus and he will not reward us,
We cannot pay the price for God’s work and not enjoy the manna that falls from heaven.
With Jesus, we go from glory to glory,
With Jesus, we cannot stagnate.
When Jesus enters, everything changes.
What was temporary becomes permanent,
What was neglected becomes important,
What was rejected becomes the cornerstone,
What was broken becomes harmonious.
We’re talking about Hannah, Samuel’s mother.
A woman whose husband Elkanah loved and honoured, but she was not happy.
Anne had everything a woman could dream of, but she wasn’t fulfilled.
She had a problem that traumatised her, she had a bitterness that stole her peace and sleep.
Every year Anne went with her husband to make sacrifices and devote their lives.
Since Anne was sterile, she received a double portion from Elkanah, her husband, to console her, and her co-wife received with her children what was theirs.
Penina, Elkanah’s other wife, mortified Hannah and taunted her with her children, reminding Hannah that she was not the beloved wife but the one who would gladden her husband’s heart and ensure the posterity of their family.
One day, Anne, who was tired of her situation, decided to do something different, to pray differently, to fast differently, to present herself differently in God’s presence, to open her heart differently to the Lord.
She stepped out of her comfort zone, she didn’t look at others, she didn’t do what others did, and she was blessed.
When the Lord wants to lead us into our next level, we have to be sensitive to God’s voice, we have to have discernment, we have to understand the seasons.
The next level requires extra effort,
The next level requires rigour,
So we are all invited to pray and to do God’s will.
Psalms, 78:70 – He chose David his servant, And brought him out of the sheepfolds;
Pray that the Lord will take you to the next level in your life.
David was a rejected child, he was seen as nothing good.
As far as men were concerned, the sheep were his greatest asset. No one imagined that he would be the man after God’s own heart, but it is the one whom men despise that the Lord lifts up.
It was David whom the Lord took out of the mire to lead to royalty, it was always the hand of the Lord that looked after his image and reputation, it was Yaweh who made him a strong, valiant and courageous man.
So let’s fall back on God and hope to taste the first fruits of the next level.
Good day to you all
Good day to you all
