My Month Of Strengthening! Ps125:1

Pastors sometimes experience moments of doubt, tears and discouragement…
It’s normal, they’re men, but they still have to appear strong, firm and zealous.
Many people think that they don’t need to be supported, and yet…
Beloved, it is also our responsibility to pray for our men of God.
We must ensure that our heroes do not fall into distress,
We must stand in the gap so that our leaders do not fall into scandal.
The Bible tells us about Elijah, the prophet of fire who trusted in God, who had an intimate relationship with the Lord, who did everything with confidence because the Lord was with him.
But this same Elijah, with all his anointing, managed to panic before the voice of Jezebel, who was not even a child of God.
In that moment of weakness and vulnerability, he fled to hide.
It’s possible for us to go through situations of stress and worry that make us feel cold, but we mustn’t stay there.
We must beg our Father’s grace without ceasing.
In 1 Kings 19 “Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
*Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “May the gods deal harshly with me, if by this time tomorrow I don`t do with your life as you have done with the lives of every man of them!
*When Elijah saw this, he got up and went away to save his life. He came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
*And he went into the wilderness, and walked a day, and sat down under a broom tree, and asked to die, saying, It is enough. Now, Lord, take my soul, for I am no better than my fathers.
*He lay down and slept under a broom tree. And behold, an angel touched him and said to him, “Get up and eat.
Elijah went through a period of discouragement, but an angel came to strengthen him.
What would we have done? What would we have done?
Would we have criticised and judged?
Would we have given up or prayed for the anointed one?
In any case, the word of God challenges us this morning. Let’s learn to pray for our servants.
We must stand in the gap to ensure that they do not compromise.
We must watch so that the enemy does not sow tares in their fields.
Pray for your pastor.
2 Peter, 1:10 – Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to strengthen your calling and election; for in so doing you will never stumble.
We must live up to our position and be true to the word of God.
Peter encourages us to be diligent in responding to God’s call so that we do not stumble.
Let us be among those who see clearly spiritually and nurture their Christian growth.
