Giving us help to stand out.
Give us a place and position us.
When we give, privileges, respect, honors follow us in relation to those who ask.
We can be without influence, without presence, without value but our gift opens us the doors of the palace.
We have a mentality that we only walk according to our interests, it is the one who gives who is received, who is respected.
We have developed a big dependence on equipment, on men, and it is difficult to go back.
We are ready to do it to be quickly served, we even find it normal to give even independently of our will, but we do not do it when it comes to God, it’s different.
We are not prompt, we calculate but God in his love, he brings us everything without asking us anything, we even slippers him, he never tires to fill us.
And that’s how he would want us to be, he would like us to have this facility of detachment, he would like that in the same way we receive, that we give too.
He therefore sends us into the book of Proverbs, 18:16 – The presents of a man broaden his way, and give him access to the great.
Pray for your gifts to make a way for you.
God teaches us something, he insists on it, we learn to give if we want to receive, if we want to have the opportunities and favors of others.
To give gives the smile and gives pleasure, to give reconcile and soothes the hearts.
Lord, help us learn more from you and set you apart because of your name.
Teach us to listen to your voice and this week, your grace identifies us, in the name of Jesus.
