My Month of Commitment!Deut.23:23

We will talk about the wishes this morning.
Hello people of God.
A wish is a commitment, a promise …
Some people make the vow to consecrate themselves to God to receive something from him in return.
A wish is a personal initiative, a conviction, it is not a divine obligation.
We must also understand that there is a power in a promise, a vow brings God to intervene on our behalf and to fulfill the will of God in our life.
When God makes it our heart to make a wish, it is like a challenge, we feel obliged to do things that we would not have done easily or that we would have failed to do.
The world teaches us that we must make wishes when passing a shooting star, before blowing on a birthday candle, or for a gesture of recognition in return for a favor.
We then tend to make commitments and we do not respect them but know that the principle is clear, Christians should not make wishes to God or anyone especially if they are not certain that they can hold, we always rush to please or look after appearances but after it becomes a pebble in our shoe.
God alone knows the future, to make a wish without foundation, it is to lack confidence in God.
For God, not necessarily need to make promises but it is important to respect his word: * that our Yes is Yes *
Do not open the door to the devil, he wants to trap us and compromise our testimony.
It is for all these reasons that the Lord tells us this morning in Deuteronomy, 23:22 – If you refrain from making a vow, you will not commit a sin.
Do not make hasty vow!
It is useless to do with God the works of the flesh, it does not move but let us lead by the Holy Spirit.
It can happen to us to make an inconsiderate alliance before realizing that we will not respect it, ask forgiveness to God with a sincere heart.
The eternal expects from us only the obedience of His word.
The vow is not something to be taken lightly, the wish comes from the heart and not from the mouth, if we commit ourselves, we must hold to the end.
To go far with the Lord, we must know to be committed people like many in the Bible.
How many times have we made wishes?
Several times surely and we want to propose something this morning: let’s stop and let God do it.
Hello again
Have a nice day
