My Month of Gratitude! Job12:9

Who are we calling our friends? What does Jesus think of our friendships? These are questions that interest Jesus this morning. A friend is linked to us, someone we trust, walk with and talk to, the one with whom we have a special relationship. But the Bible tells us to be careful, not to be ignorant of the subtlety of Satan, he fights to introduce in our midst an enemy whose mission is to destroy. Good friends are those who give us strength when we have emptied, who allow us to fill up with energy when we are weak, who listen to us, encourage us and support us. True friendship is confirmed in all situations, good or bad. It is not according to an event or a circumstance, the friendship must be disinterested, it is not insensitive when a friend is in an uncomfortable situation, the true friendship implies a sacrifice. The Bible says that Abraham was the friend of God and David the man after his heart, surely because they were close and they were always going to ask their friend Jesus for advice. The Lord is the friend of those who are humble and obey him no matter the difficulties. Jesus is a perfect friend who will never disappoint us but is he our friend? In the book of Proverbs, 17:17 – The friend loves at all times, And in misfortune he shows himself a brother. Give thanks to the Lord for the good friends you have. The Lord does not speak here of the friendship that flatters our 6 pride, he does not speak of our multiple interests in friendship, he speaks of love and a compassionate heart. He does not talk about friendship being weakened because a brother has left a church or a community, he talks about fellowship, he talks about walking on his footprints and bearing fruit. Lord, thank you for those who are present in our lives, Thank you for the love that gives us their presence in our lives, Teach us to be true friends at. Thanks God because you show the way.
