My Month Of Impact! Mt5:16

Paul was in prison, he was grieved to the point of crying, he was going through hard times, he was in hardship and need, but in all this state, we are amazed to hear him tell the Philippians that he can do nothing by he who strengthens him. The apostle Paul, faced with his problems, does not have the same outlook as we would have had in this circumstance. He had already trivialized everything, he did not dwell on certain things, things had lost their value in his eyes and his fear was that the gospel would not suffer from his absence on the ground. This morning we would like to highlight a verse from Philippians, 4:13 – I can do all through him who strengthens me. Believe and exercise the capacities the Lord has granted. This verse implies that the Lord directs our thoughts, our hearts, our affections. He urges us not to see and solve our trials with the eyes of the natural man. Let us learn to unload our worries on the Lord. Let’s stop worrying. The flesh is our worst enemy. The flesh and the reasoning want to limit our capacities so that we look at our environment, at our storms of life. We cannot serve God and have languages of doubt, of the flesh. We cannot continue to say that we are limited, we cannot, we do not have the means and the capacities, we do not have the strength, nor the opportunity. We must affirm and confess the verse with faith in our lives. Even if we are in suffering, we can do anything, when we live in communion with others, we can do everything, when we follow in the footsteps of the Father, we can do everything. Paul can endure anything, accept anything, it’s not that he’s a superman but God supports him. God gives him the strength to endure. Let us trust in God, he will give us whatever our hearts desire.
