Israel is God’s choice, it is his people to whom he has chosen to show mercy.
So when Israel was stuck in Egypt and the Lord wanted to take them out of bondage.
Pharaoh opposes this and to manifest the power of the hand of God, the Lord sent ten games to force Pharaoh to let go.
To the fourth plague on Egypt which was the invasion of poison flies against the whole country. The Lord did a remarkable thing between his people and the Gentiles.
He saw the country of Gosen where his people lived, there were no flies there.
The Lord had established a difference between his people and their people.
Flies had saturated Pharaoh’s house and country, and the Lord had forbidden flies to pass through the land of the Hebrews.
It’s just wow, isn’t it wonderful to see Egyptian skies covered in flies and Jewish skies blue in the same country?
The extraordinary, supreme distinction that God made between Israel and Egypt was that which took place in the crossing of the Red Sea, when Moses parted the sea and led the Israelis across.
Ephesians, 4:17 – This then is what I say and what I declare in the Lord, that you must no longer walk like the heathen, who walk according to the vanity of their thoughts.
Pray for the difference to be visible and real in your life.
Here is Paul’s advice, let’s stop mixing with the crowd, let’s not marry old thoughts.
Surely the Ephesians walked like pagans or adopted some pagan practices.
Let us walk in purity, sanctification and consecration.
Let’s walk according to the thoughts of God.
We are just different, in the name of Jesus.
