My Month Of Acknowledgement! 1Th5:16-18

Some time ago, Ukraine was attacked and threatened by Russia.
Dejected and homeless, this country found itself overnight without strength, without support and the world came to its aid, everyone stood up to help it, everyone wanted to defend and protect it in their own way. The world has come to console and support him.
These are commendable actions, these are gestures of love and comfort, we also need that very much but is that really only what this country needs, the world constantly wants us to believe that we have a choice , we have all the solutions, we can change country and status as we want.
This is not completely false but let us remember above all that Jesus is our refuge.
Where can we go if the hand of God is not with us?
What can we do or become without the guidance of the word of God.
Ukrainians may have fled their countries but how long will they keep running?
Are they safe?
Just thinking that they have lost everything for some and imagining the situation of their family left behind, peace leaves them.
Under what shelter do we hide when we are in distress?
What cover do we turn to when we need calm?
There is no safe haven on this earth, there is no safe place here except in Jesus.
We may have sought our security in our husbands, in our jobs, in our families… It is not there that we will find protection.
The bible says in psalms that *he who remains under the shelter of the most high, rests in the shadow of the almighty*
This verse simply tells us that when we stay in God’s way, when we follow his instructions, we have the assurance of rest.
To be under shelter means that we are in secret, in intimacy with the Lord to benefit from his protection, to listen to his warnings.
*A refuge* is a place of consolation, of security.
If God is our refuge, we must trust him and not be afraid of situations.
When the Lord is our refuge, nothing escapes God’s control, so the best place to be is with Him.
David knew how to wait for help from the Lord, he knew how to pour out his heart before the Father and he was never disappointed.
Israel thought it would find security in idols but it only had fleeting peace, a semblance of rest, a false sense of security.
God is our true refuge.
It is not because Jesus and his disciples are in the boat in a dangerous and difficult situation that the Lord does not have control.
The word reassures us that God is with us at all times.
No matter where God sends us, in battles, in conquests, we will always be victorious, he fights for us and defends us.
Proverbs, 18:10 – The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The just take refuge there, and find themselves in safety.
Be grateful for the constant refuge you have in the Lord.
The name of the Lord is at the top, it is in the heights that we can only protect ourselves from our enemies.
Not everyone has access to high places, only the righteous, those who know God, who fear him, who walk and obey the ways of the Lord.
Only those who trust in God who feel protected.
Eh yes…
Let us make the Lord our refuge and secure our families.
Hello beloved
Have a good day
