My Month Of Sharing ! He13:16

The Bible tells us that Jephthah was a valiant hero but he was the son of a prostitute.
His other legal brothers, once they grew up, chased him out of the house because Jephthah was born of another woman and he would not hesitate with them.
The Bible tells us that Jephthah ran away because he was so badly treated, so rejected, so crushed, so constantly reminded that he is nobody.
He preferred to go and hide somewhere else, he was tired of fighting with a whole community.
Jephthah went to live in the land of Tob where he started to deal with the people of nothing, where these people started to give him value, a place, love.
They began to share their time with him, their excursions.
Jephthah had succeeded in making a place for himself, he was in a milieu that considered him and he had his peace.
Some time later, the sons of Ammon made war on Israel.
The elders of Gilead came to ask Jephthah to come and march before them because they were in distress.
We mean here that the community of Jephthah had never recognised the abilities, the talents of their son.
No matter how much Jephthah sacrificed, no matter how hard he tried to keep his kingdom stable and firm, his own people did not recognise him as a hero.
The people of Gilead had to be thoroughly shaken down before they would finally accept that Jephthah was a source of blessing for them.
And that’s what we want to do this morning, let’s not sit back, let’s work to become and remain a source of blessing.
Let’s do everything we can so that others understand that we are indispensable and that we have something to contribute.
Ephesians 4:28 – Let him who was stealing steal no more; but rather let him work, doing with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give to him who is in need.
Seek to work harder to become a source of blessings.
Let us turn to others, use our abilities for a common good.
Paul forbids us to steal and we must recognise that there are many ways to steal from someone, by taking advantage of someone’s naivety, by abusing the kindness or generosity of a brother.
Instead of exploiting others, let us work with our hands to earn our living in order to give to others who are in need.
What we have, others should benefit from.
Good morning to all
Good day to you all
