My Month of Strange Progress! Is 52:13

Good morning, we will talk this morning about the liberality.
What is the liberality?
It’s just financial generosity, it’s giving it.
Even the Bible says that it is more fun to give than to receive.
Giving seems not to be a word that we like to listen to especially at this moment where everything is dry.
But what God wants to teach us this morning is our attitude as a Christian against money.
Money separates people, money is the nerve of war, money controls the world … many words have been created to qualify money, it is very important for us, we are interested, attached and we we have the love of money, without money we can not do anything but it is not everything in life, it is just a means not a guarantee of happiness, of the ecstasy in which we are supposed to be as that child of God.
We know that we will not prevail, we just enjoy the goods of the world to flourish but we know that our treasure is in Jesus.
Our lives do not depend on money.
We are hoarding money, we are happy to look at ourselves and rejoice in our earthly fortunes.
What will we do with all of this after our death?
The theme of this morning leads us to reflect on how we give to God, this instruction awakens us from the carnal comfort we are in, the Bible says that in the beginning * God *, not money, not riches.
To serve the Lord is to put him at the beginning of everything, he must be our priority, he must take the first place, he is the number one, otherwise we are just the shadow of us.
The Bible tells us about offerings, dimes but how many of us who respect this law, we go to the house of God as if we go to waste our time, as to show that we go to church, we do not prepare our encounter with God, the Bible says that we never have to come before the Lord empty-handed.
We do it, for us, he understands that we do not have, he understands that the times are hard but when we meet the village chief, a marabout, or dealer a deal … we are ready, no one says that we must have presents, we are more at ease to serve men than to address our Father who is in heaven.
We do not know how to give the place that is due to the Lord, we know how to say how we love him, we are used to saying that we give because we love.
We give by obedience to the word of God, because
we fear it, we give by gratitude, by thanks for receiving the blessing.
When we have, we share.
We give to have victory over our flesh, we give because we have an lalliance with God.
The word of God tells us that the offerings were to be a sacrifice of good odor to God, God Himself gives, he gave his son to redeem us.
We surely tell ourselves that we are paying our tithes and our offerings, it is true but it is not enough, it is an instruction that we respect, the financial generosity comes after all this.
If we want to rebuild the church or renovate it, we ask the people to lift their hands to get there, and everyone comes with their input. That’s the generosity and it’s not strange this action, it’s in the Bible.
To make alms to help those in need.
The Lord looks at the way we give the quantity, the offering is secret and the tithe is known, that’s why it must be in accordance with the will of God.
Let us know that we can not serve two masters at the same time, to serve God is to be generous, it is to help others.
In 2 Thessalonians, 1: 3 – We owe it to you, brethren, to give thanks to God continually, as it is just, because your faith is making great progress, and the charity of each of you all with regard to others increase more and more.
Pray to abound more and more in faith and giving.
Let us give thanks to God for all that has given us, everything belongs to him, he is the property but he wants to teach us to detach ourselves, to participate, to sow for the advancement of his work.
We are therefore donors, that’s why we are happy people.
We are free and responsible, the liberality is normal, it is a lifestyle, it is not an obligation but everyone must give according to what he has for God to be approved.
Thank you Lord for keeping us generous and learning to make us progress in liberality.
Thank you Jesus
May our praise O LORD
