Spiritual Gifts !
When one speaks of Spiritual gifts, many think only of teaching the Word of GOD, and prophecies. There are many more gifts.
Let us not confuse our natural talents with the GOD given gifts. A gift is a grace, a favour, an enablement given to us by our FATHER in heaven to fulfill a certain task or service to another person. No one chooses his or her gift. GOD is sovereign and HE gives grace to whomever HE chooses.
Each person has his/her gift. Each and everyone is important. We are the body of Christ, where all the members work together in accord to achieve the purposes of GOD.
Therefore, we have to cover the gifts as the word says, covers those gifts that edify the church, the body of Christ, in so doing, GOD will show us what it is HE has placed in us.
We cannot hope to receive spiritual gifts if we don’t get close to GOD. We have to seek to do His will, and work to build His kingdom.
Flipping the channels on the TV screen or wasting time on futile tasks will not help to know the will of GOD. Instead one should seek the company of believers, like minded people, seeking Him , and allowing Holy Spirit to guide us that we can grow and step into our calling.
Having a spiritual gift does not guarantee salvation. You don’t need to boast or step on people in order to make yourself known that will showcase your importance. GOD loves a humble person. And plus the gift will make room for you. And love will definitely parachute you to to the next level if you just love others.

Pray for new spiritual gifts.
We can go to GOD with boldness and assurance that He hears us. And we ask through prayer. It’s a mean of communication. We know He is going to answer us. This is similar to the confidence that a child has when he/she speaks father.
The child has the father’s undivided attention. We receive because we ask. We have confidence because we know that we are His. We belong to Him, therefore we know that He hears us and will answer us.
The tense of the verse here points to the fact that GOD is always on time, He is a constant help to us. By putting our trust in The Lord, we will never be disappointed nor dismayed.
